My Story

In the realm of talk therapy, my personal approach revolves around warmth, intentionality, and unwavering acceptance. I am genuinely invested in understanding what truly matters to my clients and the goals they strive for or the hurdles they aim to overcome. At Relational Excellence, LLC, we practice person-centered talk therapy because we wholeheartedly believe that change blossoms from the soil of acceptance. With each client, I make it a point to truly see and accept them for who they are as we embark on this transformative journey together.

My clinical experience spans a diverse range of areas, including group therapy, substance abuse treatment, returned citizen reintegration, and navigating through the process of grief and loss. What deeply resonates with me is working with individuals who bring aspects of military experiences, LGBTQIA life, histories of trauma, and spiritual exploration into the therapeutic space.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, I am equipped with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the esteemed Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Auburn University adds a unique perspective to my work. Prior to my career in counseling, I served as a U.S. Naval Officer for 7 years, enabling me to maintain a strong connection with the local military and veteran community.
