HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Sessions at Relational Excellence, LLC range between 45-60 minutes depending on the need assessed by the clinician.

ARE THINGS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL?

All information shared during your therapy session with your clinician is kept confidential within the agency. The only way information is shared with others outside of the agency is, with a signed Release of Information (See ROI for more information).

HOW DO I KNOW WHO MY THERAPIST WILL BE?

Relational Excellence, LLC will gather as much information from the client about their concerns/needs in order to pair the potential client with a therapist in the agency.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST THERAPY SESSION?

The first session will consist of the clinician learning about the new client’s background and history. An assessment will be completed and the reason for coming into therapy will begin to be discussed.

WHAT INSURANCE DO WE ACCEPT?

Relational Excellence, LLC currently accepts

  • Maryland Medicaid

  • Carefirst/Blue Cross Blue Shield.

  • Cigna: Coming June 2024

*We are in the process of being accredited with other insurance companies at the moment and hope to offer more insurance options in the near future.

SHOULD I COME PREPARED WITH QUESTIONS FOR MY FIRST SESSION?

If you feel comfortable bringing questions, you can absolutely do so. Our therapists are open and engaging. They will explain the therapeutic process to you during your first session.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Oftentimes, we are able to reschedule your appointment for another date/time. Cancellations must be made 24 prior to your scheduled appointment.

 

Missed appointments that are not canceled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time will be charged a $125 missed appointment fee for private-pay and self-pay clients.

 

Three or more late cancellations or no-shows will result in discharge from the program.

Cancellation & No Show Policy

Here at Relational Excellence, we strive to make sure all clients have a great experience on their wellness journey. We understand that things come up unexpectedly and have created a policy of 3 no-shows or late cancelations before potential discharge.

 

If you feel you will be unable to make any scheduled appointments, please reach out to us here at the office at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid no-shows and late cancelations from accumulating.  

WHAT TIME CAN I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT?

Our therapists are able to meet with you Monday through Thursday 9am to 8pm.

 

Our Physiatrist meets with clients Mondays and Fridays 9am to 7pm.

Our groups meet throughout the week virtually.

What is a ROI?

A Release of Information is a form that must be completed for any protected health information (PHI) to be disclosed to any person or organization besides the client themselves. We require written authorization from the client prior to disclosing any protected health information (PHI).  Without a completed Release of Information, Relational Excellence LLC can not disclose any of your protected health information (PHI) to other parties. If you want another person to assist with scheduling your appointments, have someone else that you would like to pay your bills, or want someone to have access to your clinical records, you will need to complete a Release of Information giving them permission to access that information.
