My Story
Takiya Wells McManus is a beacon of hope and a symbol of resilience in the field of social work. With a master's degree from Howard University and a rich academic background in Music Business and Sociology from Albright College, Takiya brings a unique blend of empathy, insight, and innovation to her work.
Her experience in the Child Welfare System, including reuniting families, providing in-home care, and facilitating adoptions and guardianships, reflects her unwavering commitment to the well-being of children and families in need. Takiya's involvement in therapeutic foster care, therapy, and her role as a Director and Rehabilitation Specialist in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program demonstrate her dedication to empowering individuals towards holistic healing and growth.
Takiya has had the privilege of supporting individuals and families facing a myriad of challenges, from child abuse victims to those grappling with addiction. Her love for therapy shines through her utilization of various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and a focus on spirituality, to guide others on their journey towards progress and healing.
